How to use the Small Text Generator

  1. Type the words you want to shrink.
  2. Choose tiny superscript text or small caps.
  3. Tap to copy and paste it into a bio, caption, name or chat.

Two kinds of small text

StyleExampleHow it works
Tiny (superscript)ˢᵐᵃˡˡ ᵗᵉˣᵗRaised mini letters, like footnote numbers
Small capsꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴛᴇxᴛCapital-shaped letters at lowercase height

Both are Unicode characters, so they paste anywhere. Tiny text is the smallest, but Unicode doesn't include a superscript for every letter (q is a lookalike), and it can be hard to read. Small caps are easier on the eyes and look neat in names and headings.

Good uses for small text

  • Bios: a quiet second line, like ˡᵒᶜᵃᵗⁱᵒⁿ or ᴘʀᴏɴᴏᴜɴꜱ.
  • Captions: a little aside or joke at the end.
  • Display names: a subtle tag next to your name.
  • Discord and gaming: nicknames and channel names that look different.

Accessibility

Screen readers may not read tiny letters correctly. Keep essential information, like your business name or contact, in normal text.

Frequently asked questions

Is this small text generator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no signup and works on phone and desktop.

How do I make my text smaller on Instagram or TikTok?

You can't change the text size in the apps, but you can paste tiny Unicode letters or small caps from this page.

Why does the tiny "q" look different?

Unicode has no superscript q, so the closest lookalike character is used.

Does small text work on Discord?

Yes. Paste it into your nickname, status or messages.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type leaves your device.
