How to use the Instagram Fonts

  1. Type your name, a bio line or a caption.
  2. Pick a style that suits your profile. Cursive and bold work best in bios.
  3. Tap to copy, then paste it into Edit profile, a caption or a Story.

How Instagram fonts work

Instagram doesn't let you change the font of your bio or captions. These "fonts" are special Unicode characters that look like styled letters, so Instagram treats them as normal text. That is why you can copy them here and paste them straight into the app.

Where you can use them on Instagram

Best Instagram font styles

  • Script (cursive): elegant and soft, popular with beauty, fashion and lifestyle profiles.
  • Bold sans: clean and strong, good for headlines and business profiles.
  • Small caps: subtle and aesthetic without looking busy.
  • Sparkles: bold cursive with โœจ on each side, for a name or a highlight.

Keep it readable

Fancy characters can be read letter by letter by screen readers and may not match normal words in search. Style a few words, not your whole bio. Need the words first? Try the Instagram Bio Generator.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Instagram fonts generator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no signup and works on phone and desktop.

How do I change my font on Instagram?

You can't change Instagram's font itself, but you can paste text written in Unicode styles. Type here, copy a style and paste it into your bio, name or caption.

Why do some fonts show as boxes?

The phone viewing your profile doesn't have that character. Cursive, bold and small caps are the most widely supported.

Can I use fancy fonts in my Instagram username?

No. Usernames only accept plain characters. Use the name field or bio instead.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type leaves your device.
