How to use the Crop Video

  1. Choose a video from your phone or computer.
  2. Pick a shape (9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9) and move the frame so the important part stays in view.
  3. Trim the start and end if you need to, then tap Crop and save.

Which shape for which app?

ShapeUse it for
9:16 (vertical)Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Stories
4:5 (portrait)Instagram and Facebook feed posts
1:1 (square)Feed posts that look the same everywhere
3:4 (portrait)Instagram's taller feed grid
16:9 (wide)YouTube videos, presentations, X and LinkedIn

How to crop without losing the important part

  1. Watch the preview while you move the Left ↔ Right slider. Keep faces and text inside the frame.
  2. Zoom in a little if there are black bars or empty edges.
  3. Trim the boring start or end so the video starts with the best moment.

Everything happens in your browser, so the video is never uploaded. Saving plays the chosen part once while it records, so a 30-second clip takes about 30 seconds. You can save up to 3 minutes per export.

Turning a wide video into a Reel

A 16:9 video cropped to 9:16 keeps only the middle third. If people move around, export it in short parts and move the frame for each part.
