How to use the Photo to Video Maker

  1. Choose up to 12 photos and put them in order.
  2. Pick a transition (slow zoom, fade or slide), seconds per photo, and add text or music if you like.
  3. Watch the live preview, tap Create reel, then share or download the video.

How the photo to video maker works

Your photos never leave your phone or computer. The tool draws each photo on a 9:16 canvas (1280 pixels tall), adds the transition and text you chose, and records it as a video in your browser. Because it records in real time, a 15-second video takes about 15 seconds to make.

Most phones and Chrome save the result as MP4. Some older browsers save WebM; if an app won't accept it, open this page in an up-to-date Chrome or Safari.

Tips for a better reel

  • Start with your best photo. The first second decides whether people keep watching.
  • 2โ€“3 seconds per photo feels right for Reels and TikTok; use 4โ€“5 seconds for slower, emotional videos.
  • Keep text short. One line like "Goa, day 1 ๐ŸŒด" is easier to read than a paragraph.
  • Add trending audio in the app. Upload the video silent, then pick a sound in Instagram or TikTok so you use licensed music.

Music rights

Only add music you have the right to use. For Reels and TikTok, adding a sound inside the app is the safest option.
